Eurovision Song Contest 2026: Dates and Venue
The Eurovision Song Contest is coming to Vienna in 2026. Following JJ’s victory with “Wasted Love,” the 70th Eurovision Song Contest will take place from May 12 to 16, 2026, at the Wiener Stadthalle. The two semifinals will be held on May 12 and 14, with the final taking place on May 16, 2026. The show will be hosted by Victoria Swarovski and Michael Ostrowski.
For decades, the ESC has been one of Europe’s most famous music events. Since 2023, the competition has permanently adopted the motto “United By Music.” A revamped brand design will also be introduced for the 70th anniversary. The central new design element is the “Chameleon Heart,” which adapts to the host country and the occasion.
Supporting Program and Side Events
In addition to the live shows, Vienna will also host an official supporting program. The Eurovision Village, featuring public viewing, will take place from May 10 to 17, 2026, at Vienna’s Rathausplatz. The Opening Ceremony with the Turquoise Carpet is scheduled for May 10. The Euro Club will take place from May 11 to 16, 2026, at the Praterdome.
According to the EBU, 35 broadcasters will participate in the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna. As the host country, Austria is automatically qualified for the final.
