Due to National Day celebrations, the Rathaus and Burgtheater stations are already closed today, October 24. In addition, starting around 4:30 p.m. today, there may be last-minute route changes due to a demonstration in front of Parliament. This may affect the Kunsthistorisches Museum and Mariahilfer Straße stations, among others.
On October 25 and 26, 2026, the Ringstraße between Operngasse and Schottengasse will be closed all day. The Red and Blue Lines will therefore be rerouted. The Burgtheater, Rathausplatz, and Liechtensteinstraße stations will not be served on these two days.

Discover Schönbrunn Palace & Belvedere Palace with the HOP ON HOP OFF - YELLOW LINE!
From the city center and via Westbahnhof, the yellow line takes you to Schönbrunn Palace! The former summer residence of the Habsburgs is a highlight of any visit to Vienna. Stroll through the palace park, visit the interior of the palace where Empress Maria Theresa, Emperor Franz Josef and his wife Sisi once resided or visit the Schönbrunn Zoo located in the palace park.
The route continues to the main railway station and the nearby Museum of Military History.
Another palace, Belvedere Palace, is also located along the Yellow Line. The palace is home to one of the city's most important art collections, with several famous paintings by Klimt regularly exhibited here, including “The Kiss”. But the palace and the palace park are worth seeing even without visiting the museum.
Via Schwarzenbergplatz, we return to the Vienna State Opera and the city center.
