The former residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its historical gardens that connect the two palaces make it one of the most magnificent Baroque sites in the world. The Upper Belvedere is home to the world’s largest collection of Gustav Klimt’s paintings (including the famous Art Nouveau painting “The Kiss (Lovers)”), as well as masterpieces by Schiele, Kokoschka, Waldmüller, Renoir, Monet, Van Gogh, plus collections of 19th and 20th century, Baroque and medieval art.
