The Sound Museum is an interactive experience in the heart of the city of music. It presents the fascinating world of music and sounds on four ﬂoors. Visitors not only learn about the history and tradition of Viennese music, they can also experiment with sounds and instruments. Have you ever directed the Vienna Philharmonic or composed your own waltz? The whole ﬁrst ﬂoor is dedicated to the Vienna Philharmonic, the famous orchestra founded in 1842.
The composer and conductor Otto Nicolai, who founded the Vienna Philharmonic in 1842, once lived in the House of Music in Vienna.
