Snoozy imperial city? No way! From pop to electro, from elegant to alternative – Vienna’s nightlife is more diverse than you think. On our blog we show you which clubs and bars are fixtures of Viennese nightlife and recommend the right place for every musical taste.

Iconic pop at U4 nightclub

This legendary Viennese club is rightly one of the best-known in Vienna. Located directly at the U4 subway station Meidling Hauptstraße, from which it gets it name, the club was a popular meeting place for the domestic and international music scene back in the 1980s. Especially the underground scene loved the special atmosphere back then. Falco was a regular visitor and even greats like Nirvana, Johnny Depp and Prince could not resist visiting the U4. Nowadays, you can celebrate at U4 from Tuesday to Saturday; the main music genres are pop hits, retro 90s music and rock.
