Balls In Vienna

During the carnival season between 11 November and Shrove Tuesday, the unofficial motto of Vienna is “Alles Walzer”, or “Let the waltz begin!” Balls have a long tradition and are an intrinsic part of Austrian culture. The highlight of the ball season is the Vienna Opera Ball at the Vienna State Opera, which is also broadcast on TV every year. The Vienna Philharmonic Ball is held in the halls of the Musikverein building in the 1st district on 18 January 2018. In addition to music in all parts of the building, the stylish ambience is a guarantee for an exciting evening of dancing.

The Kaffeesiederball, the ball of the Vienna  coffee house proprietors, is taking  place in the Hofburg for the 61st time. For the opening, choreographer Lukas Gaudernak and soloist Rebecca Horner will perform the famous "Bolero" by Maurice Ravel.

The most extraordinary ball of the Viennese ball season is the Vienna Rainbow Ball. The ball for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender people, intersex people and their friends is taking place for the 21st  time at the Parkhotel  Schönbrunn. Under the motto "I wanna dance with somebody" you can dance till the morning hours.

Probably the most famous ball in the world, this is the place to be for international celebrities. At the Vienna Opera Ball, the motto is "see and be seen". If you want to make a good impression at this high-society event of the year, you must follow the dress code!

The sweetest Ball in Vienna is the BonbonBall. This year, the ball will take place for the 69th time at the Vienna Konzerthaus. If you are feeling spontaneous, the BonbonBall offers the possibility of renting suitable clothes.
